Patented by Lok-Mor, the ANCO PN-LOC Locknut is an all metal, self-locking nut that features a stainless steel ratchet pin. This ratchet pin slides along the threads as the nut is spun onto the bolt and prevents the nut from backing off. Coupled with a unique controlled lock indention, this non-breakable ratchet pin limits damage to bolt threads, and the removal of galvanizing while ensuring consistent locking torque. One benefit to using an ANCO style lock nut is that the ratchet pin can be bent back so that the nut can be easily removed if needed.
